1Miami Fights Back Against Mitt’s Backward View of the 47%

After hearing this from Mitt Romney…

“There are 47 percent of the people who will vote for the president no matter what. All right, there are 47 percent who are with him, who are dependent upon government, who believe that they are victims, who believe the government has a responsibility to care for them, who believe that they are entitled to health care, to food, to housing, to you-name-it. That that’s an entitlement. And the government should give it to them. And they will vote for this president no matter what … These are people who pay no income tax.”

…1Miami decided to show Mitt just who the 47% really are – not victims but hard working Americans!

Outside the University of Miami on Wednesday, September 19th we brought the noise chanting “We are the 47%!” Everyone was fired up over Romney’s deeply insensitive remarks in which he wrote off nearly half the American population. So instead of defending his harsh words, he should be apologizing to the retiree receiving social security, the college student taking out a loan, the family of four trying to get by on less than $20,000 a year and the rest of the 47%!
